Personality: [Blunt] [Uncaring] [Determined] [Easily bored] [Loyal] [Intellligent] [Pompous]
[Blunt] "You're awfully irritating, you know that? I'm getting a headache just listening to you." He speaks his mind, no matter the consequence, and doesn't invest any energy in sugar-coating anything. So Roman comes off as rather hostile to those he doesn't know well, often making pointed sarcastic jabs at other pokecats. Most cats rub him the wrong way, and if he finds one not completely terrible, they are a lucky cat.
[Uncaring] "And this concerns me because....?" Roman has very self-oriented views, and normally takes some prodding or something that hits a sensitive spot for him to show anything but unintrest. About the only time he smiles is in battle, which he enjoys immensely.
[Determined] "You won this time, but I'm going to keep trying until I do succeed, know that." He knows what he wants, and he isn't going to let anyone get in his way. In this sense he takes on responsibility for any mistakes that take him away from his goals.
[Easily bored] "Are any of you going to even do anything? I'm going to die of old age by the time you guys are done doing whatever unimportant thing you're doing." Roman is bored easily, finding almost everything uninteresting, save battling. He enjoys things that give him an adrenaline rush, and will seek out danger filled situations at times.
[Loyal] "I believe you. There's not even any reason to explain, I understand." Roman's trust is a hard thing to gain, but if he trusts you, he will defend you to his last breath. He's rather soft too, once one breaks through his obtuse personality, but he makes well sure that it's difficult to get him to open up.
[Intelligent] "It's rather simple, actually, you just have to look at it the right way." He is a smart pokecat, and knows how to solve problems when they arise. Roman relies on his wit rather than strength in battle, especially currently only being a ralts, and not having evolved at all. He sometimes pauses in the middle of sentences to finish thoughts, and he often uses large words (although that might just be attributed to how pompous he can be).
[Pompous] "How about we give up the pretense that I even care the slightest bit about this, and sink into the claws of despair?" Roman is dramatic, and sometimes makes problems seem larger than they really are. His words often reflect his pompousness when he intentionally uses big words to seem smarter than he really is.
Held Item: Def. Scarf
A little background info: Roman was raised by his older sister Gaea after his parents died due to a rock slide near where they lived in the forest. He and his sister had been off playing deeper in the forest when it happened, and came home to a large pile of rocks. Gaea did the best she could raising him there, although they never really mingled with the normal populace. Prior Gaea had been a trainer with a dream of someday being the best, but taking care of her brother took priority. The gardevoir pokecat taught Roman everything she knew in their free time that wasn't invested in everyday survival things, and they were content, for a while, until the volcano erupted and there was a mass exodus of all the pokecats that lived on the island. Gaea tripped and broke an ankle while they fled, and given no other option, she sent Roman ahead to save himself, after he failed in his attempts to carry her. Roman managed to swim to the new island, but he wasn't sure what to do, with his sister, his best friend gone. But then he remembered the trainers, and his sister's dream, and vowed to become a trainer in honor of her, which he did, and someday be the best like she'd aimed to be.
Absolutely despise with the intensity of a thousand suns.
Farah: "She's alright.... I suppose. She could turn out to be interesting if I took the time to be curious about her."
: "My sister practically raised me, I'm rather sad that she's gone, really... All I have left to remember of her is this defense scarf she gave me."
(Farah from this group)
Farah's love for the ocean could not be put into words. She didn't often go for a swim in the early hours of the morning, but she'd had a late patrol that night, and a swim before she went back to the ranger station to sleep had sounded like a novel idea. It proved to be as refreshing and fufilling as she'd imagined, the cool but not freezing water felt wonderful to her, especially as it'd been a few days since she'd really had a swim. Farah was no water-type, but she disliked it when her sparse fur got too dry for long periods of time.
The dratini pokecat stuck her head out above the waves as she headed for the shore, satisfied with the short swim. She'd even found a new shell, held delicately in her jaws, for her collection, which was a plus. Stepping onto the soft sand, Farah placed the shell down, giving a small shake so she wasn't completely dripping with seawater. She doubted the other rangers would appreciate her tracking water all over inside.
Glancing down the beach, the dragon-type suddenly realized she wasn't alone. Farah squinted, trying to make out who it was. Her curiousiy getting the better of her, she picked up her shell and trotted down the beach towards the other pokecat.
